ANNUAL OLIVE FESTIVAL
ABOUT THE OLIVE FESTIVAL
With over 750 olive trees growing at Highland Springs Ranch & Inn (some planted in 1854), the Olive Festival is a celebration of our olive harvest. The olives are harvested and pressed into extra virgin olive oil. The festival aims to educate people on the many health benefits of olives, olive oil and olive leaves. Centered around that theme, various free workshops take place on health, farming and cooking. In addition, there are also live pressing of olives to produce olive oil, local wine and cheeses, as well as foods and desserts made using olive oil.
We value all our guests with disabilities, and we welcome service animals on our farm. At 123 Farm, a service animal is defined as any dog or miniature horse trained to do work or perform tasks for the benefit of an individual with a disability. Guests who use service animals must retain control of their animals at all times and should keep them on a leash or harness while visiting.
Setting up and running a festival takes a lot of work and we can always use extra hands. If you are interested in volunteering for our festival, please click here and complete the online application form. Volunteers will receive up to four free festival passes, meals, and discounts.
