THE 13TH ANNUAL
HIGHLAND SPRINGS RANCH & INN
10600 HIGHLAND SPRINGS AVE.
CHERRY VALLEY, CALIFORNIA 92223
Each summer, 123 Farm at Highland Springs Ranch & Inn celebrates the beginning of lavender harvest season by hosting the annual Lavender Festival. Visitors of all ages are invited to stroll through the winding paths of organic lavender fields, participate in guided tours in horse-drawn hay wagons, learn how lavender essential oil is extracted, taste lavender-inspired dishes and enjoy live music. The organic herbs grown at 123 Farm are featured prominently throughout the family-friendly festival through various refreshing lavender-inspired favorites such as lavender lemonade and lavender ice cream. The organic marketplace showcases specialty items many of them made with lavender as, for example, honey, balsamic vinegar, essential oils, fresh bouquets, plants and even lavender-stuffed toys.
IN SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA
Feel free to wander the 20 acres of our organic lavender fields and view our sample garden which is the home of more than 90 varieties of lavender. We grow primarily three varieties of lavender - Provence, Angustifolia & Munstead - which we used in our own aromatherapy products, for floral arrangements and in the kitchen. Remember to bring your camera and feel free to take as many photos as you like, but please do not pick the lavender.
HORSE-DRAWN WAGON TOURS
Guided tours on a horse-drawn wagon meander past one of our lavender fields as far as the thousand-year-old oak tree and back. Tours last approximately 15 minutes during which your guide will present information about the history of Highland Springs Ranch & Inn and current preservation efforts. Adults $6, Seniors $4 and Children $4 (5-12 years old). Tickets sell out fast so be sure to reserve a space early. Tours are available from 11 am to 5 pm.
THE ORGANIC GALLERIES
The Organic Galleries are a parade of twelve rustic boutiques showcasing products from our organic farm. The galleries are housed in historic cottages, each interior having its own unique character. Here you can sample lavender honey, learn about how wool is processed, browse through our the 123 Farm collection, or just sit and enjoy a cup of coffee or tea in these peaceful surroundings.
