Experts give lectures on a variety of topics related to health and well-being. Learn about lavender & bees, an organic lifestyle, go on a nature hike and learn about native plants or join in a cooking demonstration using lavender. The free seminars take place in the Main Lobby. Lecture times and topics may change without notice. We suggest you check with the Front Desk on the day of your visit.

Craft Class for Adults

Wine Glass Painting Class

Join local artist Carolyn Fouty as she teaches you how to paint lavender on a wine glass. Price includes all materials and one wine glass (to paint) and one glass of wine (to sip).

Canvas Painting Class

Carolyn Fouty will also teach how to paint lavender on blank canvas. Price includes all materials and canvas. Participants will also receive a complimentary glass of house wine to enjoy while painting.

Gardening with Essential Oils

Create your own garden pest deterrent spray or cross pollinator spray and learn about the essential oils that come from the garden and their various applications, including recipes to take home. Each participant will make their own spray to take home using the oils from 123 Farm.

Custom Aromatherapy Blends

Create your own individual essential oil rollerball blend for aromatic and therapeutic use and learn about the basics of synergy blending as well as essential oil recipes for sleep, energy, focus and immune-boosting. DISTILLATION DEMO

123 Farm’s Carol Hamre will be leading these free demonstrations. With her background in aromatherapy and organic farming, she will be showing how the essential oil is made and explaining the numerous health benefits of this remarkable herb.

LAVENDER WANDS

The main feature of the lavender crafts every year is learning how to make a lavender wand. This is not just a ladies’ activity; men have been amongst our best students. Classes run throughout the day every day at the craft table on the main festival site. Lavender wands are $12, lavender wreaths $35 and lavender crowns $20.

HORSE RIDES

We are offering horse rides for adults and children. The rider will be led on a short ride through the cactus garden. Rides will be $8 a time for adults and children alike.

 

Aromatherapy Workshops

Lavender Body Oil

Create your own nourishing body massage oil using the farm's olive oil and essential oils, and learn about the history of olive oil in traditional beauty preparations as well as the skin renewal benefits of plant oils. Each participant will take their own body oil home. Class taught by Flin Grant, M.A, Certified Aromatherapist.  $15 per person | 25 mins. | Friday-Sunday (1:15 pm & 4:15 pm)

Lavender Lip Balm

In this workshop, you will learn to make our lavender lip balm using lavender essential oil and olive oil from 123 Farm. In addition to your lip balm making experience, you will get to hear about the history of our organic lavender farm and our century-old olive groves.
